Plantin publie des ouvrages novateurs émanant des plus grands écrivains et hommes de sciences de son temps, qui ont en partie forgé la pensée occidentale. 0Aujourd'hui, l'officine de Plantin et de ses successeurs, hébergée dans un splendide bâtiment en parfait état de conservation, est un musée et classée au Patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO.
